Practical Stuff– What to Expect

Food & Meals

You will be served three meals a day, plus afternoon cake/fruit.

All food is prepared by our local Kitchen Witch and caterer Eline, who specializes in seasonal, organic, locally sourced, vegetable-based vegetarian food.

  • Vegan options will be available

  • No meat or fish options will be served

  • Please inform us of any allergies or dietary requirements when filling out the application form

Meal schedule notes:

  • Thursday: lunch, dinner, and afternoon snack

  • Monday: breakfast only

In the evenings, it will be possible to purchase soda, beer (also alcohol free), and wine, and possibly snacks in the camp “mini bar”.

All participants will be assigned one morning to help set up breakfast and clear away, together with four other witches and Kitchen Witch Sanne. This is mandatory and part of the communal spirit of the camp.

There is also one shared refrigerator available for participants.

Sleeping Arrangements

Lerbjergcenteret is a large, well-equipped scout camp — and it is important to understand that it is, indeed, a SCOUT CAMP. (Check Lerbjergscenteret’s official website it’s in Danish but it has a cool drone video on the front page that show the whole camp ground)

This means:

  • sleeping is in dorm-style rooms

  • beds are bunk beds

  • each dorm has 8 beds (4 upper, 4 lower)

  • rooms will be shared by approximately 4 +/- participants

If you cannot sleep in a bunk bed, the following alternatives are available:

  • move your mattress and sleep on the floor in a common area

  • move your mattress and sleep in the large cirrus tipi tent outside

  • bring your own tent and sleep outside on the camp grounds

In the first two cases, your mattress must be returned to your assigned room before breakfast is finished.

Camping directly in the forest is not permitted in Denmark, but the camp area is large and offers plenty of space. Outdoor toilets are available.

(A washer and dryer are also available in the main building if needed)

Showers & Bathrooms

As this is a scout camp, bathroom facilities are shared.

  • four communal showers in shared bathrooms

  • one private shower located at the opposite end of the building (for the crew mainly)

All toilets and bathrooms will be cleaned daily.

Transportation

A bus will pick up participants at Hvalsø Station on June 4th, approximately 09:30.

The same bus will return participants to Hvalsø Station on June 8th, around 08:00.

There will be only one bus each way.
If you miss it, you will need to arrange your own transportation.

Clarity Note

This camp is designed for participants who are comfortable with:

  • communal living

  • shared responsibility

  • simple conditions

  • flexibility

  • meeting the experience as it is

We believe that clear expectations create safety, happy campers, & magick. <3

9. Expectations, Nature & Conditions

This camp takes place in nature and within real-world conditions.

Participants are expected to approach weather, simplicity, shared facilities, and changing conditions with flexibility, responsibility, and a grounded attitude. (the Danish saying “there is no bad weather, only bad clothing” applies)

Complaints related to natural conditions (such as Danish weather, temperature, terrain, or outdoor elements) are not grounds for refunds or formal complaints.

10. Health & Personal Information

Applicants are asked to share relevant information regarding:

  • age

  • pronouns

  • nationality

  • current spiritual and witchy practice

  • info about mental well-being

  • why you want to join the camp

This information is collected solely to support group safety, care, and facilitation.

11. Framework: Female / Women-Only Space

This camp is lovingly and intentionally created as a female / women-only space.

The shared framework of the camp includes:

  • shared bedrooms and shared bathroom facilities

  • rituals and workshops that work with female embodiment, menstrual cycles, and lived female experience

  • a collective, familiar language where the group may sometimes be addressed as “ladies” or “girls”.

Because of this, the camp is designed for participants who:

  • identify as women, and

  • feel at ease and safe in a female-only, body-based space, including shared living arrangements and conversations rooted in female experience.

This choice is not made to exclude, judge, or question anyone’s identity.
It does not reflect a hierarchy of belonging, worth, or legitimacy within spiritual or witchy spaces.

Rather, it is a gentle, practical boundary held with care — one that allows everyone present to relax, soften, and fully consent to the shared container, both physically and emotionally.

If this framing does not feel aligned or supportive for you, this camp is likely not the right place for you — and that is completely okay.
Not every space is meant to hold everyone, and honoring that is an act of respect for ourselves and for one another.

12. Organizer’s Right to Remove a Participant

The organizer reserves the right to remove a participant from the camp if their behavior is disruptive, disrespectful, unsafe, or otherwise in violation of the camp’s framework, values, or agreed conditions.

This may include, but is not limited to:

  • behavior that undermines the group process

  • repeated challenging of agreed boundaries

  • creating an unsafe, hostile, or uncomfortable environment for others

  • persistent negative attitudes, excessive complaining, speaking badly about others, gossip, bullying, or behavior that erodes trust and group cohesion

Our intention is always to address challenges with care, clarity, and dialogue. Participants are encouraged to request a one-on-one conversation with the organizers if something feels difficult, unclear, or activating.

If concerns cannot be resolved and the behavior continues to impact the group, the organizer may decide that removal from the camp is necessary in order to protect the wellbeing of the group as a whole.

In such cases, removal may take place without refund.

13. No Guarantee of Specific Outcomes

Participation in the camp does not guarantee specific emotional, spiritual, physical, or therapeutic outcomes.

Each participant’s experience is personal and individual and will vary.

14. Liability for Damages

Participants are required to treat the venue (Lerbjergscenteret), furnishings, and facilities with care and respect.

If a participant causes damage beyond normal wear and tear or minor accidents, they may be held financially responsible for repair or replacement.

Minor accidents are covered by the organizer.
Major damage caused by reckless or irresponsible behavior is the responsibility of the participant involved.
